Connect360 lets you share your media with your Xbox 360. As you may know, the Xbox 360 lets you play DivX and XviD files if you put them on a USB stick or hard drive, or even if you share them with a Windows PC. Unfortunately, support for the Mac is non-existent. Connect360 fixes that problem by letting you share your iTunes library and media folders via your wireless home network.

Connect360 installs itself as a preference pane. From there, you can see the status of the service and choose the types of media that you want to share. Photos, music and Movies that you have on your iTunes libraries are shared by default. So is your Movies folder. If your home network is well configured, you should see Connect360 on your Xbox 360's videos, music or photos screen. It may take a while for it to show up there, though.

There are quite a few different options that let you restrict what you want to share with the Xbox 360 and which IP addresses you want to be able to access the server.

I've had mixed results with this app. With a healthy wireless network, I have been able to use this app without any problems. Video played great and navigating through the interface was smooth. With my current network, I have found some issues and no way to fix them, but that is not entirely this app's problem.

There are some things that Connect360 can't do. It doesn't support all the video formats, and there is no way to add subtitles to your video files. If all you want to do is to share some AVI files without subtitles or share your photos on the big screen, it is a great app.
