Copernic Desktop Search makes finding almost anything in your computer much easier and faster. In this respect, it can index multiple types of documents, email messages, contacts, music, videos and pictures while your computer is idle, and make them available at the speed of a click.
The application has a very nice and straightforward graphical user interface, which makes it usable by any kind of user. As it has tabs labeled with the types of contents, you can easily filter your search results. In addition to file type, the tool allows using other criteria, such as date and size, and even custom refinements, which may be specific to the kind of file, for example, genre for music or intended recipient for an email message. Moreover, the application can help you preview the contents found, without the need of any external programs.
Fortunately, this indexation tool seems to have no limits as it can scan zipped files, email attachments and tags. This way, it guarantees you can use search criteria that other searchers will not allow you to. In general, this is an application I strongly recommend as a must in every computer. I have been using it for years now and every new version surprises me with new features. Luckily, although the program has various paid versions, it also has a free one that works just fine, although with a few limitations.
