Crystal Tower is a physics-based 3D puzzle game for the Mac. The objective of the game is to destroy all the blue blocks in a level, while trying to keep the red ones intact. If you break one of the red blocks or it falls off the platform, you will lose a life. The first few levels are easy because the blue blocks are mostly at the top of the platform, but as you progress through the 60 levels in the adventure game mode, you will notice that the blue blocks maintain the whole structure at times, and it is hard to destroy them without having the whole thing collapsed on itself.
There are power-ups that you can collect if you are fast enough. When you destroy certain blocks, a sound will be played and a power-up will appear on one of the sides of the platform. If you click it, you will be able to claim it. The thing is that it moves fast out of the screen.
You destroy the blocks by clicking on them. You can drag and drop on the screen to rotate the view.
Crystal Tower is quite challenging after the first levels, and I always love a challenge. The graphics and the sound effects are very nice and they match with the futuristic style of the game. There are versions of this game available for the iPad and iPhone, and they support multitouch gestures. I have recently tried this game on my iPad and I have to say that I enjoy playing it with touch gestures much more than I did playing with my mouse.
