Formerly called Newshunt, Dailyhunt is a news app that provides news in English and various Indian languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bangla, Marathi, etc. It does so by collating content from different Indian leading newspapers.
Dailyhunt offers a variety of news content from different newspapers, covering a range of news topics – politics, business, technology, sports, entertainment, etc. It offers news information in the digital print form and also as videos, images, and funny memes. There is also live cricket scores for cricket fans. Some of the Hindi newspapers or news mediums you see featured are Aaj Tak, Jagran, Prabhat Khabar, and Amar Ujala. The regional newspapers include: Tamil (Dinamalar, Dinamani, Dinakaran); Malayalam (Mangalam, Mathrubhumi); Kannada (Kannada Prabha, Kannada Dunia, Prajavani, Udayavani); Telugu (Sakshi, AP Herald, Eenadu); and Marathi (Lokmat, Pudhari, Loksatta, Saamana, Dainik Prabhat); to name a few.
Dailyhunt lets you personalize your home screen so that you can easily sort the topics you’d like to read on and access. The local language news content comes from various towns and districts of India. There is also the option to enable ‘breaking news’ notifications. Swipe through images of celebrities, events, and happenings from across the globe.You can set the UI background color and text size as per your choice. There is also the option to share news WhatsApp, SMS, email, Facebook, etc. You can also read news offline.
