Dark Sky is a weathermobile app that provides highly accurate weather reports. Developed by The Dark Sky Company, this informational app enables you to learn what is the forecast for the whole day and for how long the changing weather will last. It features basic news on data like temperature and rain and gives you information regarding different time durations for the weather.

Accuracy is key

Dark Sky prides itself on its accurate hyperlocal weather information. It has down-to-the-minute forecasts, which really help when you’re dealing with rain. These forecasts will tell you exactly when the rain will start or stop, all depending on your current location. You’ll need to enable GPS-location tracking to get an accurate reading for this. It’s highly useful, though, when you’re in a hurry to wait out the rain.

The app also provides a full 24-hour forecast, easily trackable in the Forecast tab. If you’re interested in the weekly weather, you can switch to the 7-day forecast instead. Unfortunately, Apple has fully bought the app so the premium features will be mostly restricted to iOS.
