Usernames and passwords, ID cards and passport details, credit card numbers, and online banking information are not only of an extremely high sensitivity but also easy to forget. Dashlane solves both problems with one single software solution that will not only keep all your private information hidden and secure but will also prevent you from locking yourself out from your online activity.
Dashlane is far from being yet another password manager. We have some exciting updates in today’s release of Desktop Version 2.3.2!
First on the list: Dashlane speaks Spanish now! Teaching Dashlane a new language is no simple task and takes more than just translating our app…and our website, emails, etc. In total, we translated over 50,000 words and taught our semantic engine Spanish – it’s what makes our autofill and autologin features such super time-savers. So we’re not just giving you Dashlane in Spanish, but the the complete Dashlane experience en Español! ;)
If you’re on PC, you can enable Spanish by going to Tools > Preferences > Advanced > and changing your language. For Mac, Android, and iOS devices, it’s dependant on your operating system settings. If you use your device in Spanish, you’ll be prompted to run Dashlane in Spanish when you update.
Also new in today’s release, Dashlane is fully compatible with Internet Explorer 11 (64 bit) and Windows 8.1 – you won’t want to miss that!
Plus, we have some new settings that you requested. Here’s how they work:
Disabling receipt capture
In the app, simply visit your preferences and the ‘General’ tab. Deselect ‘Ask to save receipt during checkout’. Now, when you make purchases, you’ll no longer get the prompt for saving receipts.
Require master password before using a credential
To add an extra barrier to your more sensitive logins, set Dashlane to require your master password before autofilling your credentials on the web. Visit that credential in the app, and check ‘Always require master password’, and you’re all set.
Lastly, and as some of you have already noticed, we got a new icon! We think it fits our new look and feel after 2.0. Our lead designer is going to share more on that later, so stay tuned!
