Edits video footage and sounds, using band equalization, compressor and limiter dynamics and a professional mixer where a lot of settings can be adjusted. Imports media like tracks and video, photos by using the Drag-and-Drop operation. The video playback engine has CPU and GPU optimizations and other upgrades.

DaVinci Resolve is an advanced video editor with many capabilities. You can use it to cut, paste, edit, and enhance video files. The program has many options and features that may seem obscure to novice users like me. Also, some of them are disabled. It may be due to the fact that this is a free version. Maybe the paid-based one is totally enabled.

Anyway, you can perform many functions on your file, such as enhancing its brightness and color beyond the traditional slide bars used to add luminosity that you can see in more basic programs. In fact, you can correct each color channel as if you were working with a still image. Also, you can do precise editions by cutting even a frame or two from the total length of the file.

Once you have finished, you can upload your enhanced video directly to the most popular platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, and so on.

Besides its difficulty to use, another disadvantage is that the program is resource-intensive; for example, it may take a long time to load a video file. Of course, this will depend on your hardware capacity.

If you are an advanced user, then you may find this program useful. There is also a paid-based version with more features. You can purchase it at the developer's website.
