Debit & Credit is a desktop utility that provides you with a simple and quick way to keep track of your incomes and expenses. By using this type of programs, you can easily figure out how well you're spending your cash and look for solutions to save money.

The tool's interface is nicely designed and straightforward. You just need to enter a couple of details about your bank account (not private ones), such as the current balance. Then, all you need to do is to add transaction items. The program will automatically calculate your balance as soon as you make a modification and back up the stored records. In addition, you can sync the data across your iCloud account and check your financial data directly from your iPhone.

Another advantage is the fact that you can schedule transactions and get access to detailed statistics based on the stored information.

Only 2 things bother me about this tool: it supports only 2 output formats when exporting the stored information and the fact that you need to upgrade it to its Premium edition to monitor more than 2 bank accounts.

Considering there aren't many Mac tools that help you manage your expenses and incomes at reasonable prices and provide you with multiple features, Debit & Credit is definitely a utility that is worth a try. It works flawlessly and brings you many advantages.

- now you can exclude a particular category or a payee from a report. Right click an item in a report and select the relevant option (available for "What do I spend my money on?", "Where do I spend my money?" and "What are my sources of income?" reports).
- "What will happen to my wealth in the future?" report now has an option to include budgets into calculation.
- now you can select multiple categories for a single scheduled transaction.
- option to create pending scheduled transactions. This option is available if you use pending transactions.
- option to include pending transactions into a budget. This option is available if you use pending transactions.
- uploading new transactions with multiple categories to iCloud is now 50% faster
- selection color is now blue when alternate row colors are enabled for the table view mode
- the widget now follows the main app settings for the new transaction form: show/hide pending option, create pending by default and others.
- option to restore alphabetical order of categories if you are currently using custom order. Open categories in the app preferences, right click one of them and then select "Restore Alphabetical Order".
- option to preview transactions in a backup copy. Right click a backup in the app preferences and select "Preview…" (requires macOS Sierra).
- improved loading UI when the app is reinstalled.
- when selecting categories or payees for a report, search box is available if the list of items is long enough.
- major internal changes to improve reliability and performance.
