This program was created for Mac users who need to easily keep an eye on the clock while working on their tasks. The application places a clock on your Dock and desktop, provides you with accurate time information, and uses a very small amount of CPU resources while running on your computer.
Mac's default clock tool displays its text with a small font in the right upper corner of your screen. So, checking the time on your Menu Bar might prove to be quite annoying, especially if you're working on a large monitor or multiple screens. For this reason, apps like Desktop Clock: Desktop Wallpaper Clock & Dock Icon Watch were created.
You have access to various helpful settings. For instance, you can change the appearance of the clock from your desktop (change its style, size, opacity level, etc.), modify its location on your screen, place it on top of all running apps, and much more.
A disadvantage is that you cannot display multiple clocks on your desktop. Another thing that bothers me is that you cannot change the timezone information for the clock. This feature usually comes in handy to people working with foreign clients who need to know exactly when it's time for a scheduled meeting.
Still, the application offers you many useful features and is very simple to use. So, you should give this program a try if the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you.
