Desktop Panorama is a virtual desktop environment. It has a user friendly design and it is very intuitive. It basically looks like a big windows taskbar with a square that represents the desktop. The mechanics are simple, you can drag and drop windows in and out of the square, which can give you a better overview. The layout of the program is fairly nice. You can switch between a number of skins and the overall design looks very well.
The installation process is fast and the program is opened immediately after it without any interruptions. It works concomitant with the windows taskbar, however it sometimes overrides it. By default it will be placed over the taskbar, but it can later be moved and re-sized as you see fit.
In theory, you have an infinite number of windows you can move around with the help of Desktop Panorama. However, it does consume quite a lot of resources and if you will have many things open, your computer might run significantly slower.
The program is indeed good for browsing through a lot of windows at the same time. However, it isn't as good when working with only 3 or 4. It is plain simpler to ALT-TAB between a few windows, than it is to drag the desired windows in the desktop area. In conclusion I can say that Desktop Panorama definitely looks good and runs very smoothly, although I cannot say it is practical.
