Developer:

Calculate the amount of light necessary in a room, floor or outdoor area and design the lighting system appropriated to your needs.

DIALux 4.6.0.2 is a planning program for the presentation of projects.

By using this program, you will be able to plan the lighting you will use in a room, scene or building. The program will be able to calculate and visualize the daylight, as well as letting you plan your lighting scenes, plan the color and intensity of the lights you will use, position on the project the emergency lighting, with the right legal number of luminaires, and many more.

With DIALux you can prepare photo realistic visualizations of your light planning and send them to your customers via email, or upload them to a server.

For a better realism, the program can use different textures and furniture, and it uses an integrated ray-tracing module. You can also save your results in a .PDF format file, or export to .DWG and .DXF files. You can even import files in those formats to apply the lighting with DIALux.

The furniture, surfaces and luminaires can be placed simple dragging and dropping elements from the provided libraries.

Modifications:
- In the last version of DIALux the specification for luminous flux was changed. DIALux 4.10.0.0 no longer displayed the luminous flux of the lamp but instead the luminous flux of the luminaire. Many users were unhappy with this, because for their documentation they also required the luminous flux of the lamp. With our latest update we have taken this frequently expressed wish into consideration and now in the list of items display the luminous flux not only of the luminaire but also of the lamp. For absolute photometric data these values are identical.
- The setup had to be adjusted because of the operating systems supported by DIALux. For systems which have already been installed there is no change: Future updates will not cause any problems.
Bugfixes:
- Sometimes when the list “luminaires last used” was full it was not possible to start the DIALux Light Assistant or the selection of the luminaire caused the system to crash. This fault has now been remedied.
- When transferring information into street scenes the new “Street Plan Editor“ sometimes transferred non-initialized values wrongly. This led to deviations between the Editor and the results of the final calculation. These problems have been remedied.
- Our customers informed us that certain translations in the new Editor were unfortunately not quite correct. These have been corrected.
