Distant Suns 5.1.5 for Macintosh allows viewing of the stars and planets as they would appear from anywhere on Earth, or from anywhere in the Solar System.

The program includes an ephemeris calculator, a moon map, a lunar phase guide, a planet position guide, and a Rise/Set guide.

The animation mode allows you to replay of interesting celestial events. You can set your own default events:Autostart, Reset, Quickview.

There are also flashcards to test your knowledge and an information window.

You can even create your own Quicktime movies of celestial events, and realistically display the night sky anywhere on Earth.
