DivXLand Media Subtitler 2.2.1

DivXLand Media Subtitler has been created to help you create, edit and fix subtitles of various types. It works with external subtitles of almost any kind (more than 30 subtitle formats are supported) and for almost all types of video files.

Its main advantage is, in my opinion, the fact that it allows fixing the subtitles in an easy, manual way, by letting you preview them next to the played video file. This is possible thanks to the built-in Windows Media Player component. Performing subtitle repairing tasks using this application is easy not only thanks to its real-time previewing feature, but also thanks to its comprehensive and accurate reports. These subtitle file reports will show subtitle errors automatically detected by the application. It will also let you configure your own correction rules, mostly regarding the timing of the subtitles.

DivXLand Media Subtitler is not only a tool that allows fixing the timing or the duration of the captions, or editing the text of the subtitles. It also allows creating new subtitle files and it can be used as a comprehensive subtitle converter, thanks to the fact that it supports a large variety of subtitle file formats. Other handy features that I liked a lot about this tool are the spell checking function, the support for text formatting and the fact that it can embed subtitle files into certain types of video files (AVI files).

Considering that it is also a free application, DivXLand Media Subtitler is impressively feature-rich and powerful. It is a complex subtitle management tool that I consider to be one of the best of its kind.
