dmg2iso, as you may have already guested from its name, is a lightweight Mac application that will allow you to quickly convert DMG images into ISO images. What I like about this AppleScript droplet is its simplicity. Simply drag-and-drop any Macintosh .dmg image onto the dmg2iso's icon and it will be automatically converted into an .cdr image. A .cdr image is just an .iso image but with a different file extension. This feature is especially useful for backing-up your data since the .iso image format can be handled without any problem by just about any CD/DVD burning program on any platform, while generally only Mac powered machines will handle .dmg files. The converted images will be automatically saved in the same location as the original file.
dmg2iso also provides a file browsing function in case you are not able or don't find it convenient to use drag-and-drop. Just access the "File" tab, press the "Open" button and browse to the dmg image you want to convert. A minor disadvantage of dmg2iso is the fact that it doesn't offer support for multiple file selection thus you won't be able to convert multiple .dmg images simultaneously.
All in all, dmg2iso is a simple-to-use and reliable Mac application that will allow you to easily convert .dmg images into .cdr (ISO) images.
