DockSwitcher is a tool that allows you to change the default dock in Leopard to a darker, two-dimensional dock that is usually only visible when the dock is set to display on the left or right side instead of the bottom. Version 1.3 of DockSwitcher includes an option that makes the dock icon of an application transparent if its windows are hidden. DockSwitcher is released under the GPL 2 license and its source code is available upon request.
