Heir of the successful TechTracker CNET service, Download App is the newest version of this updating service designed to keep your programs up to date and your computer free from unrequested junk files. Download App scans your system looking for programs that require updating and will download all selected updates from a safe and virus-free environment – the Download.com site.

The program’s interface is simple enough to be of use for all types of users, regardless of their computer skills. The program performs an initial scan of your system looking for updates for all those applications installed on your PC that are also part of the Download.com library. This is certainly a limitation of the program’s functionality, though you will find it difficult to spot an app that is not a part of their collection.
