DownTester is a convenient application, which tests your system's Internet download speed and provides useful information regarding your recent downloads.

The interface is simple, and you can easily customize its appearance by adding new columns (such as name, status, download number, etc.), enable Grid Lines and Tooltips, etc. The program also comes with a built-in search engine, which helps you find any recently downloaded file by simply entering the keywords, and selecting the proper filter.

There are three ways to add downloads to your testing list: by selecting a text file that contains a list of URLs, by choosing a file that you intend to use for the speed test, or by adding a list of URLs. All you need to do in order to create a list of download URLs is to fill in the designated website links that you wish to add into the preset table format.

You will also be able to input a testing order, by simply selecting one or more download items, and moving them according to the sequence in which you wish them to download. If a certain one of these transfers fails, the program will automatically retry as many times as you want.

Once you finish adding URLs to your testing list, you should just press the Play button and wait for the results. For each download, you will receive accurate information about its status, speed, download duration, etc. Afterwards, you may conveniently save this information in a .txt file and consult it later.
