DreamCalc is a scientific, graphing and financial calculator. The application is characterized by its very adaptive interface, which can be customized to your liking and needs. First, you can use various color schemes, and there’s even a high-contrast skin specially intended for users with visual deficiencies. Second, you can also choose from different layouts, including a scientific with hex keys, a financial, and a standard scientific one. Finally, there are also three input styles: prefix modern algebraic, postfix classic algebraic and reverse polish notation. It’s a real blessing that a setup wizard can help you make the choices most appropriate to your necessities. However, this doesn’t mean that you cannot change those options later.
One of the most useful features of DreamCalc is Paper Roll. It shows a log of your operations that lets you keep track of what you’re doing. However, although the values can be edited, the results won’t be automatically recalculated. Instead, you need to select them and use the right-click option called Send to Calculator to update the results. The possibility of storing and recalling values when they’re needed is also a valuable asset provided.
Unlike standard calculators, DreamCalc makes it possible to graph functions and plot data. The tool can create graphs of two functions at the same time and show a range of charts. Fortunately, a long list of functions is supported, including trigonometric, financial, statistical, date and business among others.
All in all, DreamCalc may be the calculator of your dreams as it’s incredibly powerful and customizable. However, you should be aware that, since this application is mainly intended for business and scientific usage, it may be way too much for the standard home user because it’s not as easy to use as the basic Windows calculator.
