Droplr 5.6.2

Droplr is a simple file sharing utility that comes as an alternative to working with Dropbox. All you need to do in order to share a document is to drag-and-drop it over its icon and the application will immediately upload it to your DropIr account and copy the corresponding URL to your clipboard.

The program is very simple to handle, supports drag-and-drop action and batch processing, and uses a very small amount of CPU resources. When you drag-and-drop multiple documents over its icon, the application automatically creates an archive file which it uploaded to your DropIr account.

Another good thing about this app is that it comes with built-in tools for capturing screenshots and videos. The supported output formats are the following: PNG, MOV, and GIF.

The disadvantage is that it occasionally provides you with URLs which lead you to Page Not Found browser screens. In my testing, I tried to share a local image and the program offered me a link that didn't work and the browser displayed the aforementioned error. However, in a matter of seconds, the application offered me the correct URL (took me to a page from where the image could be downloaded). This doesn't happen often, but it might bother some users.

The program isn't available for free. The uploaded data is removed from the site after a week and some features are locked until you upgrade the app to its Pro version. The acquiring price is affordable.

Even though Droplr comes with several flaws, I still think it's worth giving it a try, especially since you don't have to pay a buck to test it and it provides you with a quick way to share images and videos.
