No matter how carefully you try to manage your disk contents, having duplicate files is inevitable. Getting rid of these files is necessary in order to gain more free disk space. And you can do this with DupScan, an application designed to detect and remove duplicates from any specified location. It is intuitive, efficient and free to use.
All you need to do is drag and drop folders into the interface, select comparison parameters and DupScan will do the rest. The utility includes a choice of multiple comparison types: name, extension, file type, creator, date created, date modified, size, CRC, contents.
Search options are in place to exclude files in the package, invisible files and folders, filter (inclusive and exclusive) by file types.
The interface has a special tab for dealing with the duplicate files found in the target directory. Users can easily copy, select and delete one or multiple files. Data deleted with DupScan may be restored from within the program.
The application is aimed at all users in need of a tool for detecting and cleaning up unnecessary duplicate files.
