DV Backup is a shareware application for MacOS X 10.3, 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6

which lets you backup any data files to a MiniDV, Digital8, DVCAM or HDV camcorder.

With up to 17.5GB of storage on each low cost, high capacity 60 minute MiniDV (or Video8/Hi8) tape, a single one hour tape can store nearly four times as much data as a 4.7GB DVD disc, and more than twice as much as a dual-layer DVD, and costing much less than Blu-ray hardware and media.
