DVB Dream 2.2

Free Queries the signal from USB/PCI tuner cards and records the programs
3.6
Latest version:
3.7.2 See all
Developer:

Views and records the channels streaming on TV tuners connected through USB or PCI. Includes a channel browser to quickly navigate from one channel to the other, and a multi-channel scheduler to program it to record only at specific hours on a day or for the whole day.

This program allows you to see TV satellite programs. In the main window you can see at the center the video window. At the left is the channel list. At the bottom is the channel information about the channel you are watching (level and signal quality, frequency, etc.), volume and mute controls. At the top are some buttons you can open a file recorded, change channels (back and forward), use full screen mode, TV window mode (to watch a channel while working with other applications), open preferences, video settings, record video, use render-less mode, open the scheduler, and electronic program guide. The channel list helps you to see what channels are available, free to air (blue colored), if it is a data channel (green colored), etc. In the tab favorites you can order by categories the channels you desire. To scan channels you have to go to channels menu and select scan option. You can use auto scan but it is better if you open the advanced scan tab and select "Activate Scan Nearly" in order to obtain more channels. After installing the software you have to select the device, select record format (TS or MPG), remote control type, write down an user name (used for report feeds), select the options you desire from the module list, configure video and audio codecs and renderer. Minimum system requirements: Windows XP, 2000, Directx 9.0 , MPEG-2 codecs (these codecs can be found in http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/), and 28.8Mb of free disk space.

v2.2 [Mar 18, 2013]
EPG Plus improvements (Tv window, channel logos, right click translate/search in IMDB/Google menu options, remote control support and possible to move between events by keyboard arrow keys.).
Timeshift should work a lot better now
New EPGNumbers module (by X05) will automatically assign channel numbers in the same order as provider's STB / EPG, for most of the European providers. You just need to select which provider you use in module options.
Audio Left/Right channel selection (panning) on channel properties now works (to be used when audio channels have different languages or comments/narrative)
New option "Display only selected satellite in remote tab" in prefences/ch.list
"Assign SIDs to ChNo" Tools menu and scan dialog option. (Useful for North American users, you could just use the remote tab in STB order)
New record file naming options. ($5=ChNo $6=SID $7=SatPos) Possible to include channel numbers in recordings now (It is so as default, if you assign channel numbers in remote tab)
DVB Dream will scan faster when network search is NOT enabled.
Bug fixes
* EPGPlus is now default and EPG cache is enabled by default. So you can disable if you don't use EPG at all. Legacy EPG can be found in Tools/Misc menu as well.
* TBSCI module is now disabled by default, you need to enable it if you use CAM on TBS devices
* You can get a free DVB Dream licence !, if you can help us preparing a package of logo files for EPGPlus module (complete logo files for a satellite), check the related post in DD forum for details.
* You can also get a free DD licence if you can add device support for the (yet) unsupported cards (We will provide sample source code if you can write a simple BDA extension to support diseqc & remote control etc on BDA drivers)
* You can download EPG Channel logos for United Kingdom here:
28.2 East and DVB-T UK (Extract files to dvbdream\modules folder)
