Just as its name suggests, EasyAudioRecorderLite is intended to capture audio directly from your sound card or a microphone. If there is one word to describe this tool is “simple”, as most of the operations can be done from the main window. Still, there is a brief tutorial to help you use it.
The program’s interface is self-explicable. Of course, there are controls to start, pause or stop capturing sound. Moreover, every time you record a file, it appears on the list of recent recordings. Luckily, you do not need an external tool to play the sound files available there. Besides, you can straightforwardly share them by email or move them to trash.
The recorder is easy to configure. In fact, you may not need to configure it at all because the tool records from the system’s default sound device. Yet, it is possible to set any other available sound source. You can also choose your favorite sample rate from a list that only comes with low-quality rates, such as radio, phone and VoiceIP. Finally, this free version allows just WAV as the output format.
All in all, although EasyAudioRecorderLite can be used indefinitely without spending a dime, there is an obvious attempt by its developers to make you buy the full edition considering the poor quality of the recordings, the limited range of audio formats and the evident promotion of other tools. Thus, I will not discourage you from giving this product a try but you should bear in mind that it will only serve for projects in which audio quality does not matter so much.
