EasyWMV is a very light and simple video converter. It consists of a single, small window that acts as a drop zone for video files. The application supports ASF, AVI, M4V, MPG, MP4, MPEG, MOV, NSV, SWF, VOB, WMV, and RM files for input and it can convert those files to MPEG-4 and H.264 using the MP4 container. One thing that surprised me was that whenever you drop a file to the application window, it is converted automatically. It is before dropping files that you have to set conversion options. This is done from the "Inspector" window, where you can set the audio and video conversion options. There you can set the format, the quality, and choose from one of the built-in conversion profiles.
In my testing, I added a few files of different formats. They were all converted very quickly and the quality remained very similar to the original files. For example, 1 minute of video from DivX to MPEG-4 took less than 20 seconds to convert.
All in all, this converter is simple and lightweight. It is very fast and it is unlike most other converters. It is true that it is missing several features and that it has limited output format support. But clearly, the developers didn't intend this to be a versatile converter. It is just a quick, simple converter for quick conversion tasks.
