EfficientPIM Free is a free version of EfficientPIM and allows you to record, organize, and track your today's activities, contacts, events, add notes, manage passwords for your email accounts, software registration codes, ftp accounts, and also includes a password generator.
The program has a user friendly interface that allows you to select among various view styles and customize their views.
By default the program shows today's activities but you can specify which interface will be displayed at the program's start. The program has indeed too many configurable options: you can use different hotkeys besides using the mouse to execute different actions; show the entries for certain days; include/exclude tasks with no due date; hide completed tasks; minimize the program to keep you alert for the scheduled events. For contacts, you can enter the contact's full name directly or enter the first and last name separately.
You can search for events, import predefined holidays, or other events, drag and drop events in the calendar, and use daily or monthly calendar view. You can drag a task to change its level or order. You can export information to CSV or HTML files.
Some of the features disabled in this free version are: data sharing, organizing the information by group, adding attachments, spelling checker, card view support, and relating events, tasks, and notes to contacts.
