This converter can only convert video files to MPEG-4, H.264, MOV and M4V, all of which your iPhone will gladly play. The app comes with conversion profiles for the iPod, iPad and iPhone.
This converter comes with a nice video editor. There are a couple of things you can do with it. For example, you can use it to increase or decrease the video's brightness, contrast or saturation. There are trimming and cropping features available as well. And if you want to, you can add watermarks to your converted videos.
Regarding format support, Emicsoft iPhone Converter for Mac will probably be able to open, play and convert any popular format. I tried it with MKV and MP4 files and they both worked flawlessly.
In my testing, I used an MKV file which was about 1 minute in length. I converted it to one of the iPhone H.264 profiles. The whole process took less than 30 seconds and the resulting file played well on iTunes and my iPhone.
All in all, this converter doesn't offer anything other converters don't have. But it works well and it has good format support.
