Emicsoft iPhone to Mac Transfer is an application that lets you download content from your iOS device to your Mac. You can use it to backup your photos, music, videos, and ringtones. The content can be saved to a folder on your Mac or exported directly to iTunes.
The iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad are all supported by this app, but it should be noted that only devices that can be synced with iTunes will be detected by the program. My iPhone can't be detected by iTunes for some reason, and Emicsoft iPhone to Mac Transfer doesn't detect it either.
When a device is detected, you will see a summary of the device, which includes name, free space, iOS version and serial number. Below the device's name on the left pane of the application, you will see four buttons: Video, Music, Picture and Ringtone. Clicking on those buttons will show the files stored on your device, and you can simply select them to copy them back to your Mac.
Emicsoft iPhone to Mac Transfer only lets you copy content from your iOS device to your Mac, and not the other way around. This app isn't different from the iPad or iPod versions, so if you have purchased one of those, you don't need this one. If you need an app to put content on your device, Emicsoft has a few of them called "iPhone Manager", "iPad Manager", etc.
