Emicsoft M2TS Converter for Mac is a video conversion utility that can be used to convert your M2TS files into other formats. M2TS is actually the container used to store MPEG-2 streams in Blu-ray movies. An M2TS file is usually large in size, but the quality that it can allow for is excellent. The only problem with this format is that most devices don't support it. With this application, you can convert those files to a variety of other formats, both video and audio.
There are a ton of conversion profiles available for you to choose from, and quite a few of those are HD profiles, which use the H.264, DivX, MPEG-2, WMV, and a few other formats in different containers that are more popular with mobile multimedia playback devices. Surprisingly, MKV is not among the HD formats. You can select it from the normal formats, but the resolution is limited to 720p. Most of the "HD" profiles let you use 1080p resolutions.

In conclusion, this application has an excellent output format support and it can also open a variety of formats as input. The player and editor work quite well and I didn't find any problems converting M2TS files. The app even lets you select subtitle and audio tracks to use with your converted files.
