The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland located around the American Grand Canyon. Fallen Earth's gameplay features FPS/RPG hybridization, first-person/third person views, hundreds of items including improvised equipment and weapons, a variety of functional vehicles, a real-time, in-depth crafting system (which includes vehicles), various skills and abilities, factions and tactical PvP, all existing within 1000 square kilometers of usable terrain based on real-world topographical maps of the area.
v2.3 [Feb 29, 2012]
You can now link your GamersFirst account to a Steam account. Simply launch Fallen Earth while Steam is running (must be logged in) and the launcher will present you with a “Use Steam Authentication” option.
If this box is checked when you click Login, you will be prompted for your GamersFirst account credentials.
Please note that whatever account you enter will be permanently linked to your currently logged in Steam account.
The next time you launch the game with Steam running, Fallen Earth will use Steam to authenticate your login, and no username or password will be needed!
Important: You will need to restart your launcher after updating to see the “Use Steam Authentication” option.
Once in game, you will be able to use the Steam overlay with Shift Tab. This is still considered a “Beta” implementation, and as such, certain features, such as the FE forums, Steam achievements etc. are not fully functional.
If you do not wish to link your GamersFirst account to your Steam account, ensure Use Steam Authentication is unchecked.
