Farm Fables is a nice time management game developed for Mac users of all ages. The objective is to help Leia, a young woman who got tired of living in the big city and moves to the countryside, take care of her new farm.
The app has nicely-drawn graphics and relaxing background music, lets you choose between 2 game modes (Casual or Strategy), and gives you access to plenty of challenging levels. Personally, I prefer playing the Casual mode as it doesn't come with any restrictions. When you play the Strategy game type, you need to get a gold star for completing each mission, otherwise you cannot advance to the next level.
While playing the first couple of levels you will receive various gameplay instructions. You need to pay attention to these tips as they won't be displayed again later.
You will need to grow plants, feed animals, collect goods like eggs, acquire extra animals, and much more. The quicker you complete your goals, the more chances you have to collect the gold stars and bonuses.
My only issue with this app is the fact that it occasionally runs slow, especially when changing the game options (adjusting sound volume, changing resolution, etc).
Still, the game is addictive and entertaining. So, you should give it a try if you're a fan of playing this type of games on your free time.
