Access a collection of tools for handling large numbers of files on Mac drives both manually or automatically. Filter the content according to size, format, placement, etc. Create image galleries, migrate specific items to designated folders, auto-remove certain data types, etc.
File Buddy 9 is a comprehensive file management tool. It allows you to scan your hard drives to look for duplicate files and folders, and to compare your files to make sure that content isn't identical, among other duplicate finder features. The app can also be used to view files and to find different types of files. Of course, you can find duplicates, but you can also look for orphan files, aliases, and invisible files.
Although File Buddy 9 doesn't really have a user interface, it still is easy to use. All of its features are accessed from the top menu bar. From there, for example, if you want to find duplicate files you can access the Cleaning menu and access the Find Duplicate Files window, where you can set the search options and specify the folders or files to compare. There is a feature that was designed to help you recover hard drive space by deleting OS languages that are not being used. The application also has a secure delete feature that erases unused space, so that your deleted data cannot be recovered with recovery applications. This is a nice privacy setting.
All in all, like I always suggest, you better give this app a try and see if it is something convenient to use. It has lots of features, but the GUI-less approach might not be for everyone.
