FileConvert can batch-convert scanned images into searchable PDF files. This application uses OCR technology to extract text from images. You can set this program to monitor a selected folder and automatically convert incoming files. It can also monitor network scanners for data.
FileConvert comes with three variants namely, Standard, Pro, and Pro PLUS. Pro version has all the features of Standard plus unlimited daily page scanning. Pro PLUS has an added feature of converting multiple documents simultaneously.

New naming option formatting code: -LN. Converts certain letters to numbers, like "S" to "5" and "O" to "0" (to compensate for OCR errors).
New naming option formatting code: -NS. Strips all spaces from the text.
ODBC error fix: if you're seeing ODBC errors in FileConvert 7/8, you can now install FileConvert 9 to fix them and not lose your current configuration.
New naming option field: REGEX. Pulls OCR text from the document body based on regular expression pattern-matching. Only available when scanning or running OCR.
New formatting option for use with naming option fields: -X. Pulls text from the field based on regular expression pattern-matching. See help for more info.
Use Barcodes as Separators. You can now automatically separate files whenever a barcode is encountered. If that barcode happens to have a valid path and filename, you can also have the document routed to that location. Find this option in the job > Separate tab.
Use Barcode Text in Naming Options. When you set up a destination > Use Filename Builder, there's a new field: Barcode Text. Indicate the page where the barcode is found and, if there's more than one barcode on the page, the barcode position. Note that you should go to Settings > Barcodes to set up which kinds of barcodes you use.
Use OCR Text in file names. You'll see this option when you add a destination and hit Use Filename Builder. To set it up, select Zone OCR, click Open then Load Document, browse out to a sample scan, and draw a rectangle around the region that will contain the OCR text. Be generous.
Faster OCR. You can now OCR two pages simultaneously. On the job options, go to the OCR tab. You'll see an option called Page Threads. The current limit is two pages.
Increased Conversion Threads. FileConvert Pro Plus can now convert up to six files simultaneously. Set this in Settings > General > Document Threads.
