FileSearchy is a handy application that offers a really fast and convenient manner of finding files on your computer. The best thing about it is, probably, the very high file searching speed, as it is capable of displaying file search results almost instantaneously (in real-time, as you type). Another remarkable advantage of this handy utility is the fact that it comes with a very simple, neat and intuitive interface. This straightforward interface makes FileSearchy easy-to-use even for complete beginners. Furthermore, the interface supports tabs, allowing you to perform multiple search queries at once with ease.
FileSearchy also supports some basic file searching filters, allowing you to search by content string, date and size. Furthermore, it can be used to search inside the contents of plain text files, office documents, PDFs, etc. Once a string is found within a file name or its contents, this handy tool will highlight that string making it easier for you to identify what you were looking for.
Cutting long story short, it’s a handy tool that makes finding files a simple job. Since it’s also free, I can only recommend it with all my heart.
