FileSorter is a small Mac application that can help you easily sort any files that you might have stored on your system in no time. This tool can prove to be quite useful if you want to quickly organize entire folders based on various criteria.
In order to sort your files with the help of FileSorter, you will have to create rules and assign actions. Even if this might sound a bit complicated, you don't need to worry, because the entire process is very simple. All you have to do is to name the new rule, select one or multiple conditions (like the file name contains the word "informer") and add the desired action (copy, move, open or remove). Once you have done that, simply click on the "Open" button and select the desired location where the created rule (or rules) will be applied.
Other than that, you can set FileSorter to use Growl notifications, include folder contents and ignore hidden files. This can be quite useful if you only want to move, copy, delete or open only certain files from a large folder (you can hide the important ones, for example).
