First Assistant is a multi-purpose data management utility for film and video professionals, designed to aid offline editors and assistant editors in the production and post-production workflow.
Main features:
- Import from a Final Cut Pro timeline, and export text-based files for Microsoft Excel.
- Track scene timings (including page counts, estimated and production timings) during prep and editorial assembly.

• Now a 64-bit Universal sandboxed app, supporting MacOS 10.15 “Catalina” and 11.2 “Big Sur” on Intel and M1 Macs. (The minimum required system is MacOS 10.10 “Yosemite”.)
• Bug fixed: when exporting editor's notes the current timebase format is now respected, instead of always exporting in the native program format.
• Bug fixed: the Timecode Calculator now respects the current TC Out Frame setting, instead of always using Avid style.
