FlashVideo Converter is a program that helps Mac users to convert FLV clips to other video formats, such as MOV, MPEG, MP4 or MPEG2. You can work with this application whenever there's an incompatibility issue between your Flash videos and the player or device you're using for watching the clips.
The app lets you load one file at a time, hence it doesn't offer any support for batch processing. Once you select the input file, you can opt for another video resolution, choose the preferred bit rate value, configure the audio settings, and click the Capture button to launch the conversion process.
Converting files with this program might prove to be bothersome though. If you wish to convert the entire video file, you need to wait for the app to play the clip from start to finish (after you click the Capture button). Therefore, the app converts only the frames that get to be played until the moment you click the Stop button.
Another disadvantage is that you cannot begin another task while the app converts the input file.
Honestly, I wouldn't suggest you trying this program when it comes to converting FLV files to other video formats. As I mentioned before, the application lacks important features and takes a while to convert the input file. What's more, it's a bit pricey.
