Folder Size is a utility designed to help you analyze disk space usage on your Windows PC. This type of programs usually come in handy when you need to immediately identify the files and folders that use the most disk space on your computer.
The tool is packed with a user-friendly interface, a comprehensive help manual, and various report display modes. In addition, it can analyze disk space usage for various types of data storage containers. For instance, I tested the program by analyzing the disk space usage from a connected USB drive. It immediately gave me access to a complete report.
Furthermore, while installing Folder Size on your PC, you can choose to include the "Scan with Folder Size" option into File Explorer's contextual menu.
A disadvantage is the fact that you cannot test all of its capabilities for free. To be more exact, you can export or print scan results, scan network locations or get a report showing the oldest files and folders only after you purchase the Personal or the Professional edition of the utility. Another thing that bothered me was that it occasionally ran slow. This usually happened when selecting different components from the chart representation.
All in all, Folder Size is a great tool for analyzing disk space usage. So, it's definitely worth giving it a try if the aforementioned aspect means nothing to you.
