Facilitate the downloading of content from Usenet. Preview a portion of a RAR archive before fully downloading it, ensuring they are obtaining the desired content. This preview feature extends to video files as well, allowing users to make an informed decision before committing to the download. Furthermore, the tool also includes a password detection mechanism, which analyzes media files to determine if a password is necessary for extraction.
Forte Agent is a unique software which acts as a newsreader and can be used for email as well. Its features are very distinct as compared to the rest, Agent supports vEnc encoding and along with that it joined multi-part binaries. It is among the first group to do that. It has a vast set of commands that can be used for searching, filtering and navigation.
The user can send any number of mails through many STMP servers and POP accounts. The same can be done for receiving. Along with that there is no fear of trojans and viruses. Here junk messages are removed with no threat to ethical messages by the help of the Agent, which combines identity management and Bayesian Statistics. There is also an advantage of many news servers along with e-mail accounts.
If the user finds news with missing parts, then Forte Agent becomes a big help by combining all the missing chunks from different servers to give complete news. Through the Agent, the user can combine news by getting headers from one and bodies from another server. Along with that download cost is also reduced. The user is now able to view images of Email or Usenet in the body itself or in another window. Attachments can be stored anywhere you wish. A separate attachment folder can be created for each group of news.
For Identity Management also, Forte Agent can be taught to drag messages to folders capable of routing for automatic routing and doing files. For easy downloading, Forte Agent marks messages and groups and parallel tasks are done for total utilization of servers.
Personas for news or email can be created for making an identity in the Internet. Agent remembers this thing and helps the user all the time; contacts are entered in a new mail. As Forte Agent memorizes identities, someone could also use it illegally, so it must be used with caution.
v7.2 [Aug 30, 2013]
1. Increase in Connections to Agent Usenet Servers
- increased the maximum number of connections allowed at our Agent Premium Usenet service (APN) to 30. To make it easy for Agent users to take advantage of the change, Agent 7.2 increases the default number of connections from 10 to 30 for new Usenet servers you set up. Also, when you first run Agent 7.2, it will automatically increase the number of connections to 30 for servers you have already defined, but only when:
- The number of connections was set to 10, the old default value
- The number of connections was set to 25 and the server definition is for an APN server.
2. Notes
- Agent customers who subscribe to APN aren't required to update to version 7.2, because you can always change the maximum number of connections manually. To do that, open the News Server Panel of the Servers and Accounts dialog box.
- Of course, Agent customers who don't subscribe to APN do not need to update to version 7.2. However, you might want to review Agent's maximum connections settings to make sure you are using all of the connections available. It never hurts to set Agent's maximum to a value that is greater than the number of connections actually available, because Agent automatically detects when it hits the limit set by the server and adjusts accordingly.
3. Bug Fixes
- accidentally introduced a bug in Agent 7.1 that sometimes caused Agent to fail to retrieve bodies for messages imported from NZB files. Agent would incorrectly report that the bodies were unavailable. We actually fixed the bug in Agent 7.1 Build 1214 but did not formally announce the change. The fix applies only to users who installed Agent 7.1 Build 1212. If Agent's About dialog box says you're already running build 1214, you do not need to upgrade to version 7.2 to get the bug fix.
