All you need to do is to drag-and-drop the audio files you wish to convert, choose the preferred output quality, and click over the "Convert" button. The program will immediately export the files you require, without slowing down other running apps in the process.
Sadly, Free Audio Converter isn't exactly what its name implies. You need to upgrade the application to its Premium version in order to unlock all of its features and get rid of the annoying ads that are being displayed on the main window of the utility.
Another disadvantage is the fact that the program lacks the ability to extract soundtracks from movies, a feature that's available in many other apps of its kind.
