Free Flash Gallery Maker is intended to create eye-catching photo slideshows even if you do not have many computer or graphic-design skills. The program has an intuitive interface, which is quite similar to those of other programs of the same type. It is great that its developers decided to break down the whole process into smaller steps in a wizard-like fashion.

The tool lets you create folders to organize your photo albums. Although it comes with three categories (personal, family and business), you can create as many additional folders as you find necessary. Next, you can choose one of the attractive templates. However, I must say that some other programs offer more choices in this regard. For instance, you are not allowed to start from scratch; yet, you can still modify the position of the elements in one of the templates. The following step consists in adding your own photographs or videos, which can be arranged in a timeline. Likewise, you can apply transitions from one slide to the next. Unfortunately, it is impossible to put more than one photograph in a slide, in a collage manner. Finally, you can add a musical background to your gallery.

Once you have finished editing, it is time for exporting the resulting slideshow. At first, and because of the program’s name, I thought it would only allow creating Flash files. However, I am glad to know that it can export to other types, such as executables, screen savers, standard video files and even HTML5 video.

To conclude, I would admit that Free Flash Gallery Maker has the main advantage of creating decent interactive photo albums without much effort. Still, if you are willing to have more freedom during the creation process, you should look somewhere else. You should also know that, although this product is the free edition of Flash Gallery Maker, it looks more like a trial version because it has some limitations as to the number of photos you can include in your presentation.
