Free Password Manager is a light yet powerful application for you to store your passwords, usernames, log-in keys, credit card numbers and all kinds of private information in an encrypted and password-protected database. It includes additional helpful features, like a built-in password generator.

The program allows you to create as many databases as you need. It includes a sample database that you can browse and analyze to familiarize yourself with everything it can offer, so that you can create your own customized databases later. They store your information in a hierarchical way through a folder system. For example, in your new database you can create a new folder called "Contacts" with three sub-folders, "Family", "Friends" and "Business", inside it. In time, you will be adding new records with your contacts’ information in the corresponding sub-folders.

You are allowed to customize the fields for each record, as well as the icon that will identify each new folder you create. Thus, you will be able to store exactly the information that you find interesting and/or that you really need. Once you finish working with your current database, you should close it to keep it safe. When you create a database, you are asked to provide a safe password for it, and you may decide on its disk location. That file is kept in an encrypted format and its contents can only be accessed from inside the program by an authorized person.

As mentioned before, the program includes many more helpful features. It allows you to clear the contents of the system’s clipboard with the click of a button. In addition, it includes a password generator that allows you to create strong passwords of any length and complexity. You can then use them for any password field required for your folders.
