Free Ringtone Maker is, as its name says, a program that enables you to create ringtones for your phone. This app comes in handy whenever you get tired of your old ringtones or you wish to create a personalized tune for one of your address book contacts.
Once you launch the utility, it will immediately display the media content of your iTunes library from where you can select the input files. Then, you can use the integrated audio player to choose the start and end time for the ringtone and click the Start button.
A thing I like about working with this application is that it also lets you extract sound content from movies and save it as ringtone. The tool supports video formats such as MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, and much more.
The program comes with several disadvantages: it supports only one output format (M4R), it might take a while to load the waveform for the selected tune, and the app displays annoying ads.
