FreeRapid Downloader is a very nice, free download manager for Mac. It is also available for Windows. With this application, you can download files from file-sharing websites without having to open your web browser. When you are downloading something from sites like Rapidshare, you can only download a file at a time and most of the times what you are downloading will be split into several parts, so you have to remember to start downloading the second part as soon as you finish the first one and so on. It can be a hassle. With FreeRapid Downloader, all you have to do is to add the URL links of the files that you want to download, and the application will take care of the rest for you. It will still only download one file at a time, but it will download them all without user's input.
FreeRapid Downloader monitors your clipboard when it is running, so it will know when a RapidShare link is added, and it will prompt you to download it. It can also check on the servers to make sure that the file that you want to download is available.
In my testing, I added a few RapidShare links and they were all downloaded without any problems. I am very satisfied with this app.
