FuzzyClock is a simple clock that sits on your menu bar and displays the time in words and digital format, or just the date in mm/dd/yy format. The clock is available in lots of languages and offers a few customization options. It offers a nice alternative to the default Mac OS clock.
You will be able to select the font type and size, select the text color and add a shadow. You can also set the application to show the current day with the time in the menu bar and place the clock to the right of Apple's extras.
