FVD Player is a simple, straightforward, no-frills video player that allows you to watch videos of all the most popular formats, including AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, ASF, MP4, MPG, MOV, TS, etc., as well as play audio files like MP3, FLAC or AC3.
This handy multimedia player doesn't offer any original features or impressive advantages that would make it more remarkable and unique. This doesn't mean it's a bad product, worthy of being completely ignored. On the contrary, it comes with all the basic functions that one might ever need from a player, such as support for creating playlists, support for adding subtitles to videos, a sound equalizer, an aspect ratio changing function, and so on. Furthermore, it's completely free.
Though you cannot customize it or change its look, the interface of FVD Player is simple and straightforward. There's a single main menu from where you may access all its functions and features. You may also use the “File Associations” panel to set the program to automatically play certain multimedia file formats when you double-click them on Windows Explorer.
To sum it all up, FVD Player is a decent multimedia player that neither impresses nor disappoints. If you need a basic, neat, simple player that just does its job and it's free, then FVD Player might be the right one for you.
