FYT - Photo and Video Editor is a free photography mobile app that allows you to easily create and edit cool-looking photos and videos that you took. Developed by FindYourTools, this multimedia app offers various tools for editing images and videos, such as text, stickers, and the like.

As a media-editing app, FYT - Photo and Video Editor features the same editing tools for both images and videos, so you’re not missing out on anything. They’re all pretty basic, though, and you have no option to use advanced edits on your work if you want more variety.

Simple and hassle-free

FYT - Photo and Video Editor is pretty easy to use, just like all of the developer’s other apps. When you open the menu, there will be two options in the middle when you have no files: “Add Photo” and “Add Video.” Alternatively, you can access these via the Plus icon in the middle. You can then choose whether to take a new photo or video or get a file from your gallery.

After choosing your file, you can edit it using a few simple tools. You can change the media file’s size and ratio to either 1:1, 4:5, or 16:9. You can also add preset stickers to the image or video. Lastly, there’s a text option that offers cool colored fonts—although this one doesn’t translate well if your device is on dark mode. Afterward, just save and you’re good to go.

This app has basic tools available but some require a tutorial just to understand how they work. The text option, in particular, doesn’t show up properly for both photos and videos. You won’t be able to move it and the stickers around in videos. Compared to other similar apps, there’s not a lot to work with here despite its free license.

Not too complicated

All in all, FYT - Photo and Video Editor is a nice little app if you just want to spruce up your mobile device’s media files. It’s easy to understand and the interface isn’t too overwhelming, even for beginners. However, it could still use some improvements with regard to its editing tools. It can also benefit from a simple tutorial, especially for the video-editing.
