G Data Internet Security is a powerful suite that encapsulates various utilities that make your computer a more safe environment, by keeping the threats, such as viruses, malware, and other online threats, at distance. The utilities include an antivirus, a firewall, parental controls and a spam filter.
The program's main interface is formed of a tab menu up front, a general settings menu on the right-side and detailed information displayed on the interface center. The theme colors are quite enjoyable and consist mainly of a mixture of red and white. What I didn't like about the interface is that sometimes the navigation through menu tabs becomes sluggish.
Skipping to features, I must say that there are well-optimized to current technology trends. I'll point out the ones I think are the most relevant for this review.
The Cloud-Backup feature is one of them and is responsible for storing the encrypted backups in the Cloud, by using Dropbox or Google Drive.
Another important utility is Anti-Ransomware that offers no extortion for Trojans, this way keeping criminals away from encrypting your files.
Besides these two features, the program has a powerful firewall system, that monitors all the incoming and outgoing connections, and a G Data BankGuard that secures your browser against data manipulation by thieves.
To summarize, G Data Internet Security is a feature-rich suite, has a nicely crafted interface and a good ratio of quality and price. A must-try one!
