GIPHY is a popular online service known for giving access to numerous animated GIFs. This program was created to help users create their own animated GIFs and share them with the world, on the GIPHY website.
The utility is packed with a screen capturing tool that enables you to record any area from your desktop. You can then go to the program's Captions window to add text content to your animation and apply visual effects to your recording.
In addition, not only you can export your recordings to the GIF format, but you can also save your projects as MP4 videos or JPG images. The output quality is excellent.
The only disadvantage is the fact that it provides you with a small number of output options. For instance, it doesn't let you include geometrical shapes in your GIF or highlight mouse clicks. Furthermore, you cannot enter your own resolution values. You can only choose one of the 4 profiles: the original resolution (captured in your recording), 320px, 480px or 640px.
Still, GIPHY CAPTURE comes without a price, is very simple to handle, and provides you with quality results in no time. So, I see no harm in giving it a shot.
