GMinder is an excellent add-on for Google Calendar that alerts you of scheduled events right on your computer desktop without opening an Internet browser. You just need to configure your Google Calendar and supply the information in the "Calendars" window.

GMinder has two important features that make it a powerful tool; the first one is that you can utilize multiple calendar accounts; the second one is that GMinder downloads the events so you don't have to be online at all times. You can configure the frequency with which the events are refreshed and how many days you want to predownload. Events are shown in different colors. Future events are in white, soon-to-come events are in yellow, present events are pink, and past events are in gray; but also you can change the colors of the events. For soon-to-come events you can change the number of minutes you will be reminded before the event occurs. Also you can utilize the Quick Add in order to enter a reminder directly. The program requires: Microsoft .Net 2.0.
