GraphicConverter First Aid is intended to eliminate any preference data left behind by GraphicConverter. Likewise, it lets you uninstall the above-mentioned application with just a click. This tool is very light and so self-explicable that it does not require any help whatsoever for you to use it from the start.
Graphic Converter is generally used for picture organization, workflow management and image editing. However, its preferences stay on your system and are impossible to trash from within the application. This creates the need to use an external tool like GraphicConverter First Aid to erase any preference data.
The application has a very straightforward interface. In this respect, there are two buttons only: one for trashing preferences and the other for uninstalling Graphic Converter. Moreover, there is a pane that shows a log of your activities. Regrettably, there is no way to recover deleted Preferences from within the application. Of course, for this tool to work properly, it is necessary that Graphic Converter is installed on your machine.
All in all, GraphicConverter First Aid works just as described by its developer. The product can be downloaded from the developer’s website at no cost. For me, it is surprising that GraphicConverter First Aid is developed and distributed by the same developer of GraphicConverter. In this respect, the description of the tool is extremely brief and there is no explanation of why an additional tool is necessary. In my opinion, it would be great if the possibility to trash Preferences were integrated into GraphicConverter, eliminating the need for another application.
